Post 43 Upcoming Activities
Updates and News:
1. Membership renewal season for 2027 began on July 1. Post Membership so far is 71 of the 150 Department Goal for 2027. The interim Wyoming Department Goal is 50% (75) by September 10. Our Sons of the American Legion Squadron (SAL) Membership is at 14 so far towards our goal of 32.
2. Old Bills run is on September 12. We need volunteers to help set up and man our booth. It is a good chance to recruit new members. Please donate to the Post through Old Bills, since the donations are matched, and we fund our scholarship fund from those contributions.
3. Please help us identify any friends or acquaintances who are veterans or sons of veterans. We welcome new members at any time.
4. Post Legion Caps can be purchsed by both Post and SAL members. Baseball type caps are also available while they last.
5. Oratorical Raffle is still available until September 19 at $10 per ticket.
6. September monthly meeting - Tuesday, September 15 at 7:00 PM. Guest speaker is Timothy T. Day, a Marine Corps veteran and extremely successful businessman.
7. Wyoming Legion Department Fall Workshop – September 18-19 in Casper. Department Executive Committee meets on the 18th. Workshop on the 19th. Our Post needs some members to attend. Application is available for hotel and registration.
8. Post 43 provided a Color Guard on August 7, 2026 for the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Naturalization Ceremony at the Grand Teton National Park visitor center in Moose.
9. Veterans Day on November 11, 2026 – We will need big turnout for the Town Square Ceremony. There will also be an Elks Club Veterans dinner, and high school and other Veterans Day lunches and other events during that week.
10. Post Leadership Meeting – Monday, August 24 at 6:30 PM.
